Depois de receber um enorme destaque no ano passado, Jaime Reyes está retornando para mais uma série de aventuras do Besouro Azul nos quadrinhos.

A DC confirmou que o herói ganhará uma nova série para as HQs intitulada de This Land Is Our Land: A Blue Beetle Story, com direito à uma prévia inédita. Veja:

Definida como uma "jornada inspiradora e emocionante", a história acompanhará Jaime Reyes "abraçando seu destino como o Besouro Azul".

O quadrinho foi escrito por Júlio Anta, com artes de Jacoby Salcedo, e tem lançamento programado para 1 de outubro de 2024 nos Estados Unidos.

A sinopse de This Land Is Our Land: A Blue Beetle Story diz:

"Jaime Reyes é um estudante comum do ensino médio em El Paso, Texas, com um profundo amor por sua família, cultura e lar, e nada o agrada mais que as reuniões espontâneas de seu bairro, realizadas até altas horas da noite. Mas ultimamente, ele percebeu que ele e sua comunidade estão sendo usados como peões num debate cada vez mais tóxico sobre imigração.
