Eisner 2025 | Brasileira vence na maior premiação dos quadrinhos
Bilquis Evely foi contemplada por trabalho em gibi da Dark Horse
A ilustradora brasileira Bilquis Evely foi uma das grandes vencedoras da edição deste ano do Eisner Awards, premiação que é considerada a principal no mercado de quadrinhos dos Estados Unidos. A artista recebeu o prêmio de melhor desenhista e arte-finalista por seu trabalho na série Helen of Wyndhorn, publicada pela editora Dark Horse.
Já o também brasileiro Matheus Lopes perdeu o prêmio de melhor colorista para Jordie Bellaire, que venceu o troféu por uma série de trabalhos que incluem Birds of Prey e Hellblazer: Dead in America.
A cerimônia aconteceu na última sexta-feira (26), em meio à programação da San Diego Comic-Con. Helen of Wyndhorn foi uma das poucas obras a receber mais de um prêmio na noite, contribuindo para os troféus de melhor lettering e capista para Clayton Cowles e Tula Lotay —que venceram as estatuetas também por outros trabalhos.
A DC Comics foi a campeã das categorias principais, levando prêmios como o de melhor série nova para Absolute Wonder Woman e o de série limitada para Zatanna: Bring Down the House. A reedição de Batman: Ano Um da editora também venceu dois prêmios, o de melhor design de publicação e o dedicado a projetos de arquivo nos gibis.
Outro destaque do evento foi o prêmio de melhor edição única. Os votantes elegeram vencedor da categoria a HQ de Joe Sacco com críticas diretas a Israel sobre a ocupação militar da Palestina, escrita em parceria com Art Spiegelman.
