Quadrinhos de Gene Luen Yang e Matt Fraction conquistaram júri da premiação
Fonte: OmeletePrincipal prêmio da indústria dos quadrinhos, o Prêmio Eisner anunciou nesta sexta-feira (23), durante a San Diego Comic-Con, os vencedores da edição de 2021 da premiação. O principal destaque do ano foi Gene Luen Yang, que levou três troféus para casa: Melhor Publicação Para o Publicação Infantil e Melhor Adaptação de Outra Mídia por Superman Smashes The Klan, e Melhor Publicação Adolescente por Dragon Hoops.
O Homem de Aço - ou melhor, Jimmy Olsen - recebeu mais dois troféus em 2021. O Amigo do Superman, Jimmy Olsen, de Matt Fraction e Steve Lieber levou os Eisners de Melhor Minissérie e Melhor Publicação de Comédia.
As grandes surpresas da noite ficaram por conta das categorias Melhor Nova Série, vencida pelo volume de Viúva Negra atualmente comandado por Kelly Thompson e Elena Casagrande, e Melhor Roteirista, que premiou James Tynion IV, apesar de nenhum de seus trabalhos indicados ter sido premiado.
Por outro lado, Usagi Yojimbo, de Stan Sakai, e Junji Ito confirmaram o favoritismo e venceram nas categorias Melhor Série Contínua e Melhor Roteirista e Artista, respectivamente.
