Anunciado durante a San Diego Comic-Con 2020, o Eisner Awards, considerado o "Oscar dos Quadrinhos", premiou nesta sexta-feira (24) a HQ Bitter Root. Comandada por David Walker, Chuck Brown, e Sanford Greene, a revista é publicada pela Image Comics e competia com séries como Demolidor, The Dreaming e Immortal Hulk, revista que conta com o brasileiro Joe Bennett.

Mariko Tamaki, de Harley Quinn: Breaking Glass, da DC, levou o troféu de Melhor Roteirista enquanto Rosemary Valero-O'Connell, que trabalhou com a quadrinista em, Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up with Me, da First Second, ficou com o prêmio de Melhor Artista, derrotando a brasileira Bilquis Evely, de The Dreaming.
