A aparição do Senhor Milagre prova que o lado bom do Quarto Mundo também existe no pós Relaunch. Ainda que isso fosse um tanto quanto óbvio, até agora os leitores só tinham tido contato direto com Darkseid e seus asseclas;

Da mesma forma que estes personagens cósmicos tenham catalisado a tragédia deste mundo ao eliminar uma geração de heróis icônicos (Batman, Superman e Mulher-Maravilha), a nova geração de “maravilhas mascaradas” terá o apoio do outro lado do Quarto Mundo, a começar pelo Senhor Milagre.

Com estes acontecimentos a Terra 2 se prova cada vez mais rica dentro do atual UDC. Não seria muita ousadia imaginar que muito em breve ela ganhe um spinoff além de World’s Finest.

Batwing | Série muda identidade secreta do herói e ganha novo direcionamento

Nova identidade secreta tem vínculo mais próximo com Batman

A DC Comics vinha dizendo há alguns meses que ia fazer uma grande mudança em Batwing, a série que estrela um herói africano apoiado por Batman na sua "Corporação Batman". A mudança seria principalmente da identidade secreta do herói.
Batwing #19 chegou às comic shops esta semana e revelou a mudança, que muda os rumos da série. Spoilers abaixo.
O congolês David Tinasha abandona a identidade de Batwing coincidentemente quando Batman recebe uma nova armadura do herói, projetada por Lucius Fox nas empresas Wayne. A edição termina com Batman dizendo que já tem o nome certo para ocupar a armadura: o filho de Lucius, Luke Fox, lutador de MMA graduado no MIT (?) e cujo maior objetivo na vida é fazer parte da Corporação Batman. Vai atingir o objetivo na próxima edição.
Em entrevista ao Newsarama, os roteiristas Jimmy Palmiotti e Justin Gray dizem que a escolha de Luke vai criar tensão entre Batman / Bruce Wayne / Lucius Fox, considerando que Bruce esconde sua identidade secreta da família Fox. E por mais que a escolha da nova identidade secreta aproxime Batwing de Gotham City, sua primeira missão será na África do Batwing antigo.
Alguns fãs destacaram que a nova armadura lembra bastante o uniforme de Batman no desenho animado Batman do Futuro. Mas até o momento nem os autores nem a DC deram a entender que querem fazer relação com a série animada.

Fonte: OmeleteEm notícia surpreendente para os fãs da clássica HQ O Cavaleiro das Trevas, a DC Comics anunciou via New York Post que Carrie Kelley, a Robin das minissérie passada em futuro alternativo, passará a fazer parte da continuidade atual do Universo DC. Ela "estreia" na semana que vem, em Batman & Robin #19.
A revelação faz parte do mês especial em que todas as capas da editora saem duplas - sempre com uma surpresa na metade direita. Carrie Kelley, bem ao estilo Miller, é quem está na direita da capa, como você vê abaixo.

Em entrevista ao Post, o roteirista Pete Tomasi disse que o surgimento de Kelley tem relação direta com a morte do Robin que estava na ativa, Damian Wayne. A trama da edição vai revelar que Carrie era amiga de Damian - mas não necessariamente que ela vai assumir já o posto de Robin.
"Ela é uma estudante universitária, muito valente, que fala o que pensa. Não é uma Robin de mundo alternativo, é simplesmente uma menina chamada Carrie Kelley, a gente vai descobrir que ela conhecia o Damian", diz Tomasi. "Assim que você abrir a revista, sem estragar a surpresa, vai ver que ela não é 'a nova Robin' (...) Mas se quer saber quanto tempo ela vai ficar por aí, digamos que é beeem mais que só uma edição. Tenho planos para Carrie que vão longe no futuro."

Amazing Spider-Man #700 foi a edição mais rentável do século

Controvérsia vende. Apesar de ter vazado antes na internet e de provocar a ira de leitores, Amazing Spider-Man #700 ultrapassou 200 mil unidades pedidas nas comic shops e, com o preço alto de US$ 7,99, foi a revista em quadrinhos mais rentável do mercado norte-americano desde que se tem registros confiáveis, neste século. Sozinha, rendeu mais de US$ 1,6 milhões.
Os números de dezembro divulgados pela distribuidora Diamond Comics, analisados pelo ICV2, mostram que este e outros lançamentos ajudaram a puxar a arrecadação do mercado no mês - 15,74% em relação a dezembro de 2011. Comparando todo 2011 e todo 2012, também houve crescimento muito mais que significativo: 11,58% em unidades vendidas, 14,72% em arrecadação.
O top 10 de revistas em dezembro ainda inclui lançamentos Marvel Now como Avengers #1 (segunda posição), Avengers #2 (sexta) Cable and X-Force #1 (sétima), All-New X-Men #3 (nona) e Thunderbolts #1 (décima). Mas a DC também mostra força da linha Batman, em meio à saga "Death of the Family": Batman #15 (terceira), Detective Comics #15 (quarta) e Batman and Robin #15 (oitava) acompanham Justice League #15 (quarta posição).
Na lista de coletâneas, a Image Comics parece ter fechado o ano sendo presente de Natal. O primeiro TPB de The Walking Dead voltou ao topo com mais de 10 mil unidades e, embora a série tenha mais quatro coletâneas no top 10, os leitores estão provando de outras séries da editora: Chew, Saga e Fatale estão no alto da lista.
