Em entrevista com a Entertainment Weekly, o escritor Brian Buccellato divulgou novos detalhes sobre o crossover Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong.
Segundo o escritor, Godzilla e Kong não serão retratados nem como heróis nem como vilões na nova série em quadrinhos.
“Uma grande coisa sobre Godzilla é que Godzilla obviamente não é um vilão, mas também não é um herói. Godzilla é sobre restaurar o equilíbrio e a ordem da natureza. Então, quando Godzilla acaba neste mundo com meta-humanos, super-heróis e supervilões, as coisas ficam confusas. Então isso vai fazer Godzilla querer fazer o que Godzilla faz, que é criar ordem. Haverá mais monstros. Não tenho permissão para dizer quais, mas Kong e Godzilla não são os únicos dois monstros gigantes que a Liga da Justiça terá que enfrentar. As coisas vão ficar loucas.”
“São definitivamente os personagens clássicos. Você tem um Lanterna Verde, Arqueiro Verde, Superman, Batman, Mulher-Maravilha, Mulher-Gavião – e também Supergirl! Um conceito desde o início da primeira edição é que o Superman está prestes a sair de férias, então para garantir que eles tenham seu kryptoniano superpoderoso residente, Supergirl intervém para se juntar temporariamente à Liga da Justiça.
