Depois do enorme sucesso da Liga da Justiça Internacional original, Keith Giffen passou a ser lembrado apenas pelo bom humor em suas histórias, mas a verdade é que o roteirista (e às vezes desenhista) é bastante versátil, tendo como outro ponto forte as aventuras cósmicas.
É o caso de Threshold, nova revista mensal que escreverá para a DC Comics a partir de janeiro. Misturando ficção e humor, a publicação terá trinta páginas de quadrinhos, com duas histórias a cada edição, reunindo muitos personagens espaciais da editora e algumas caras novas.
The Hunted é a atração principal, com arte de Tom Raney e centralizada em Jediah Caul, ex-Lanterna Verde que estreia no mesmo mês nas páginas de Green Lantern: New Guardians Annual #1. Depois de cair em desgraça e perder seu anel, Jediah terá de lutar para sobreviver num reality show. A trama envolverá ainda Besouro Azul, os Omega Men, Tom Tomorrow, o Taxista Espacial, Star Hawkins, Lady Styx, Ranger do Espaço, entre outros.

Para fechar, John Constantine - personagem criado por Moore - tem a seguinte fala diante do vilão: "Ele pode ser grande, mas não passa de uma manifestação no meio desse arvoredo todo. É um homem. Um mago medrosinho. Temos que pegá-lo!" (ênfase do próprio Constantine). O Homem-Animal logo entra no monstro e capturam o mago barbudo que está lá dentro. A batalha dura cinco páginas.
