BATMAN ETERNAL #43

Com uma grande recompensa pela sua cabeça, Spoiler é sequestrada pela Mulher-Gato. A nova rainha do crime de Gotham deseja saber quais segredos a jovem esconde para ter um prêmio tão alto pela sua captura.
Nesse ínterim, Batman tenta descobrir o paradeiro da garota, e para isso conta com os serviços de sua mais nova aliada, Harper Row, agora agindo como Pássaro Azul.
A trama deste número tem um viés mais adolescente, principalmente por ter como protagonistas Harper Row e Stephanie Brown.
Além disso, David Lafuente (estreante na maxissérie) reforça ainda mais esse ponto, com um traço que emula características dos mangás, sem deixar de ser eficiente para uma história de super-heróis.
No final, há uma revelação que pode necessariamente não ser o que parece, mas que começa a mostrar que a série se aproxima de seus momentos finais.

Após descobrir que o Chapeleiro Louco é o responsável pelos nanorrobôs, e de o vilão capturar Batgirl, Capuz Vermelho e Robin Vermelho, Harper Row veste um traje especial que ela própria desenvolveu e parte para o salvamento dos heróis.
Mais um bom capítulo de Batman Eterno, que fecha uma trama paralela do início da série.
Uma curiosidade da história é que a máquina criada pelo Chapeleiro Louco (2º quadro da página 11) é muito similar à Chave Cósmica (Cosmic Key), que aparece no filme Mestres do Universo (Masters of the Universe), adaptação do desenho animado de mesmo nome.

Na primeira imagem, você pode conferir a máquina construída pelo criminoso de Gotham, enquanto a segunda mostra o objeto desejado por He-Man e Esqueleto no filme de 1987.
O difícil é descobrir quem teve a ideia da homenagem, o roteirista Kyle Higgins ou um dos três artistas que assina este número.

Após algumas edições, volta a trama paralela dos nanorrobôs que invadiram Gotham, infectando várias crianças e adolescentes.
Por isso, neste número de Batman Eterno, o Cavaleiro das Trevas não dá as caras. Quem protagoniza a aventura são seus costumeiros aliados: Batgirl, Capuz Vermelho e Robin Vermelho, além da caçula do grupo, Harper Row.
Tentando descobrir o paradeiro de seu irmão, que desapareceu após ser infectado pelos nanorrobôs, Harper conduz os heróis até um galpão, onde são facilmente subjugados pelo Chapeleiro Louco.
Mais um bom capítulo da maxissérie, com especial destaque para a arte de Joe Quinones, mais conhecido por seus trabalhos recentes nos títulos Howard the Duck, para a Marvel, e Batman ’66, para a própria DC.
Vale também mencionar a bonita colorização realizada por Kelsey Shannon.

Não bastasse todo o horror cotidiano das ruas de Gotham, agora Bane, Caça-Ratos, Cara de Barro, Espantalho, Filha do Coringa, Mestre das Pistas, Sinaleiro, Sr. Frio e Vagalume, estão armados com o arsenal do Morcego e preparados para deixar as coisas ainda mais caóticas na cidade do herói.
Mesmo contando com o auxílio da Mulher-Gato, o desafio talvez seja grande demais, mesmo para o Cruzado Encapuzado.
Outro que volta a dar as caras é Jim Corrigan (o Espectro), e como ele não vem sozinho, a tendência é que a situação fique ainda pior.
Vale mencionar que, nos créditos da revista, Davide Furnò e Paolo Armitano são apontados como responsáveis pela arte-final. No entanto, o correto seria creditar ambos como responsáveis pela arte, uma vez que não é especificado quem faz o quê.
Em alguns sites, Furnò é creditado como desenhista e Armitano como arte-finalista, mas isso não é confirmado no site oficial da DC Comics.
