Agradecimentos a Morlun, o Milenar.   Prólogo.   Após a morte de Jason Todd, Batman se tornou ainda mais amargurado, o que atraiu os olhares de um admirador, o jovem Tim Drake . O menino, um detetive de nascença, acabou descobrindo a verdadeira identidade de Batman. Quando era criança, acompanhou o espetáculo de circo onde os pais de Dick Grayson foram assassinados, onde também presenciou Bruce Wayne acolhendo o órfão. Depois, ao ver o Robin (Dick) em ação, acabou reconhecendo os traços e habilidades do acrobata órfão, e assim, juntou um mais um e descobriu que Bruce era o Batman. Tim Drake passou a infância e o início da adolescência acompanhando os fatos que ocorreram na dupla dinâmica; percebeu quando Dick foi embora e o aparecimento de Asa Noturna e logo depois o desaparecimento de um novo Robin (Todd).
