A Tropa dos Lanternas Verdes se prepara para mais uma grande guerra cósmica. Após as sagas A Noite Mais Densa, Dia Mais Claro e “Ligths Out”, agora o exército esmeralda vai confrontar o Pai Celestial e os Novos Deuses em um evento que estará nas lojas a partir de outubro com o nome de “Godhead“.

O site Nerdist recebeu informações exclusivas sobre as solicitações da linha dos Lanternas Verdes para Outubro deste ano. O evento “Godhead”, que terá revista própria, também se espalhará em todas as edições de linha da patrulha cósmica.
A premissa da história é totalmente ligada ao fim de “Green Lantern: Lights Out” e vai trabalhar com as consequências dos estragos que foram feitos na fonte de poder. O Pai Celestial aparecerá para tentar equilibrar estes eventos utilizando os anéis multicoloridos do poder, entretanto ele não entende o poder que tem nas mãos e isto trará consequências a todo o Universo DC.

A primeira edição de “New Gods: Godhead” tem nos roteiros Robert Venditti, Charles Soule, Cullen Bunn, Van Jensen e Justin Jordan e nos desenhos Pete Woods, Billy Tan, Rags Morales – que volta à editora depois de um tempo na Marvel – e outros.

A série nova chega às lojas dos EUA no dia primeiro de outubro e se espalhará pelas revistas Lanterna Verde, Tropa dos Lanternas Verdes, Lanterna Verde: Novos Guardiões, Lanternas Vermelhos e Sinestro. Multiverso Segundo Grant Morrison – Estudo Aprofundado Parte 3

No decorrer de todas as páginas de The Multiversity, Grant Morrison mais uma vez opta por flertar com a década de 1990, como fez no início da série. Todavia, acompanhado desta vez de Ben Oliver e Dan Brown (que não é o famoso escritor), o autor opta por explorar outra faceta da época, enfocando justamente no tempo em que ele escreveu a Liga da Justiça ao lado do desenhista Howard Porter. Como tem acontecido em outras edições, o trabalho de Morrison neste número de The Multiversity é fácil de se acompanhar e compreender, ainda que ela possua algumas camadas de interpretação mais profundas que a superfície da revista sugere.

Em termos práticos, Morrison explica em “Multiverso DC: Os Justos” como a indústria de super-heróis banalizou eventos importantes como morte, ressurreição e grandes sagas. Do começo ao fim, Os Justos mostra quadro por quadro os comos e porquês de a indústria de super-heróis ter se tornado esquecível, cíclica e pobre. Os diálogos dos personagens destilam tudo que Morrison pensa sobre os quadrinhos estadunidenses desde a fundação da Image até os dias de hoje e não poupa opiniões fortes (e até controversas) sobre ícones pop. Se em trabalhos anteriores o escritor retratou sua visão pessoal sobre as Spice Girls, Rihanna e Lady Gaga, aqui ele deliberadamente ataca Miley Cyrus através da jovem filha de Connor Hawke.

Aliás, é bom deixar claro que Os Justos é uma evolução natural do que Morrison fez em sua LJA e do que Mark Waid (seu sucessor no título) fez nos quadrinhos “The Kingdom” (uma continuação da clássica “O Reino do Amanhã”, também de Waid). Logo, os super-heróis aqui retratados são Kyle Rayner (Lanterna Verde), Connor Hawke (Arqueiro Verde), Bloodwynd, Luke O’Brien (Offspring, filho do Homem-Borracha) e outros da mesma época ou de anos posteriores, como Damian Wayne e Chris Kent. E Morrison não economiza críticas às novas gerações de fãs e leitores ao utilizar o diálogo entre Damian Wayne e Chris Kent para falar que “nossos pais fizeram um trabalho bom demais. Não deixaram nada para a próxima geração”. Isto pode ser interpretado tanto como uma crítica à geração Y, como também ataques à indústria de super-heróis, cujos talentos de décadas passadas fizeram coisas tão boas a ponto de não deixar mais nada para novos autores.

Ainda há uma quantidade razoável de piadas sobre homossexualidade de Batman e Superman na revista. Mesmo que eles sejam héteros na história, a forma como o Homem-Morcego e o novo Homem de Aço conversando são retratados é extremamente sugestiva e engraçada, com a própria Alexis Luthor (namorada do Batman e futura traidora dos heróis) tirando sarro da relação dos dois.

Há também uma simbologia mais concreta em determinados eventos, como o suicídio da Megamorfa, por exemplo. O fato de ela ter se matado por considerar a vida um tédio completo implica em Morrison dizer que a atual indústria de quadrinhos está entediante, com poucas novidades e fatos repetitivos. Uma consequência da morte da personagem (seu namorado voltar pra casa e ficar jogando videogame ao invés de chorar pelo suicídio da amada) também foi usada para exemplificar que a morte dos super-heróis não significa mais nada nem mesmo dentro deste universo ficcional.

No que diz respeito a amarras com o resto de Multiversity, Os Justos mostra um cubo de viagem espaço-temporal bem semelhante ao visto na primeira edição, o que significa que ele pode ter sido tirado de Alexis Luthor ou que ela tenha um igual. Seja como for, se o Bloodwynd desta edição for o mesmo do mostrado em “The Multiversity #1“, o artefato serviu para que o misterioso herói fosse levado à House of Heroes em algum momento, o que não foi mostrado na edição. A revista amaldiçoada Ultra Comics também se faz presente e o Batman desta realidade se toca de que os quadrinhos possuem algo de muito errado. Fora isso, a história fala por si só e serve mais como um experimento de Morrison do que uma parte fundamental da saga. Pelo menos até agora, é claro. Futuras edições podem dizer o contrário.

De modo geral, Os Justos é de longe a edição mais fraca da saga. Morrison se prendeu bastante ao que queria dizer e deixou a narrativa em si um pouco de lado, enfraquecendo a trama em benefício da crítica. A mistura não funcionou bem, mas a revista não é de todo ruim: o trabalho artístico de Ben Oliver é impressionante enche os olhos a cada página. Fora isso, Os Justos é bastante dispensável.
