Divulgada recentemente, a 13ª edição de Action Comics (revista a cargo de Grant Morrison) promete uma série de acontecimentos importantes. Para isso, a DC Comics aproveita a oportunidade para promover algumas participações especiais na história.
Morrison traz, definitivamente, o cão Krypto de volta ao presente do Homem de Aço. Além do fiel amigo do herói alienígena, o Vingador Fantasma também dará seu ar da graça no título, participando da batalha do protagonista contra as ameaças da Zona Fantasma.
Além dos personagens supracitados, o rodízio artístico entre desenhistas regulares e fill-ins também afeta a revista, já que Rags Morales toma uma pausa para dar espaço ao aclamado Travel Foreman (Aves de Rapina, Homem-Animal). A DC promete que esta edição é especial para a linha que Morrison estabeleceu ao título, recebendo arte de Foreman apenas neste número.
Action Comics #13 sai em outubro com capa oficial de Bryan Hitch e variante de Rags Morales.

Vendas de junho apresentam empate entre DC e Marvel

A lista de vendas referente ao mês de junho no mercado norte-americano de quadrinhos foi divulgada, e apresenta um empate entre DC Comics e Marvel. Enquanto a DC vendeu mais unidades por uma pequena margem, a "Casa das ideias" arrecadou mais, também por pequena diferença. Novamente, isso acontece porque as revistas da Marvel são, em média, mais caras do que as da DC.
De todos os quadrinhos vendidos nos Estados Unidos, 38,23% foram da DC, contra 37,82% da Marvel, 6,45% da Image, 4,16% da IDW Publishing e 3,46% da Dark Horse.
Em valores arrecadados, a Marvel teve 33,77%. A DC ficou com 33,03%, a Image com 7,36%, a IDW Publishing com 6,22% e a Dark Horse com 4,51%.
O Top 10 das mais vendidas foi dominado por revistas relacionadas a algum evento das duas editoras, sendo a única exceção Justice League #10.
Em primeiro lugar ficou Avengers vs X-Men #6, seguido por Avengers vs X-Men #5, Batman #10 e Justice League #10.
Entre a quinta e oitava colocações vieram as novas revistas de Watchmen, nesta ordem Before Watchmen: Minutemen #1, Before Watchmen: Comedian #1, Before Watchmen: Silk Spectre #1 e Before Watchmen: Nite Owl #1.
Em nono lugar aparece Spider-Men #1, com o encontro entre o Homem-Aranha no Universo Marvel tradicional e o Homem-Aranha do Universo Ultimate. Fechando o Top 10, aparece AVX VS #3, título derivado da saga Vingadores vs X-Men.
Na lista de encadernado e graphic novels, o topo ficou com The Walking Deade Volume 16: A Larger World, e logo atrás apareceu League of Extraordinary Gentlemen III: Century 2009.
Com o lançamento de Before Watchmen, a graphic novel original também teve um aumento de vendas, e Watchmen ficou com a terceira colocação na lista.
No restante da lista aparece, pela ordem, The Boys Volume 11: Over the Hill with the Swords of a Thousand Men, Batman: Detective Comics Volume 1: Faces of Death, Fatale Colume 1: Death Chases Me, Batwoman Volume 1: Hydrology, The Walking Dead Volume 1: Days Gone Bye, DMZ Volume 12: The Five Nations of New York e Morning Glories Volume 3: P.E.
