WONDER WOMAN: DEAD EARTH #3

DC revela quem venceria entre Mulher-Maravilha e Superman em nova HQ

Uma dos embates mais frequentes entre heróis da DC é entre Superman e Mulher-Maravilha. Por qualquer que seja o motivo, as HQs já colocaram Clark Kent e Diana Prince para se enfrentarem, para aumentar os ânimos dos fãs que gostam de debater qual dos dois venceria. E uma revista mais recente da Guerreira Amazona mostra que a Mulher-Maravilha vence Superman, e, desta vez, de uma forma bem brutal.
Na edição número 3 de Wonder Woman: Dead Earth (via CBR), cuja trama se passa em uma realidade pós-apocalíptica do Universo DC, a Mulher-Maravilha e a Mulher-Leopardo estão na Fortaleza da Solidão, que, nesta realidade, é um enorme cemitério de almas perdidas, que foram até o Ártico pedir a ajuda do Homem de Aço – e morreram por conta da exposição aos elementos do lugar. Ao adentrar o local, as duas descobrem porque o Superman nunca ajudou nenhum dos pedintes: ele já estava morto, sendo encontrado sentado em seu trono.
Na sequência, a revista apresenta um flashback em que Superman e Mulher-Maravilha estão tentando combater o caos que estava assolando o planeta. Como parte de um plano para impedir a destruição do mundo, as Amazonas decidem enviar seu exército para parar as outras nações, mas isso acaba tendo um efeito bastante destrutivo: os demais países enviaram armas nucleares para destruir Temiscira.
Diana tenta impedir os mísseis de destruir seu lar, inclusive tirando seus braceletes, que continham os seus poderes extraordinários. Mesmo sendo capaz de parar alguns mísseis, outros atingiram a Ilha Paraíso, destruindo as Amazonas que a habitavam. Superman tenta pedir desculpas por não poder ajudar Diana, uma vez que ele teve que impedir que outros mísseis atingissem Smallville, para salvar seus pais. Porém, Diana fica extremamente possessa de raiva, e, sem nem saber elaborar palavras, ela ataca ferozmente o Homem de Aço.
A luta foi bastante brutal, uma vez que a Mulher-Maravilha não estava contendo seus poderes, e o Superman não estava dando conta de se defender. A batalha acaba chegando até a Fortaleza da Solidão, onde, com o auxílio de pedras de kryptonita entre seus dedos, a Guerreira Amazona mata o Homem de Aço, com um poderoso soco que atravessa seu peito.
A trama mostra que, por conta dos traumas que teve no apocalipse, a Mulher-Maravilha tem memórias bloqueadas dos eventos que aconteceram, e que até mesmo se sentiu horrorizada com o que fez ao seu antigo amigo e companheiro de Liga da Justiça. De toda forma, a revista mostra também que, mesmo estando em um universo paralelo, o espírito guerreiro de Diana e a quantidade de poder que ela contém para si são capazes de fazer com que ela seja capaz de superar rivais tão poderosos quanto ela, mesmo um deles sendo o Superman.
