A DC Comics divulgou a primeira capa final The Dark Knight III: The Master Race, o terceiro volume de O Cavaleiro das Trevas, com a volta de Frank Miller no roteiro e na arte.

A imagem, desenhada por Dave Johnson a partir de um esboço de Jim Lee, tem um espaço separado para os lojistas de comic shops dos EUA inserirem seus logotipos, ao lado do cadáver do Coringa (com o mesmo traje e o batrangue enfiado no olho direito, como na minissérie de 1986):

A parte um da minissérie em oito edições sairá em 25 de novembro. Cada uma das oito edições da minissérie terá 32 páginas com a história principal, escrita por Miller e Brian Azzarello, e uma história secundária de 16 páginas, cuja equipe criativa ainda será anunciada. A capa principal da primeira edição será desenhada pela dupla titular da minissérie, Andy Kubert e Klaus Jansson.

A minissérie termina em 2016, para celebrar os 30 anos de publicação da Cavaleiro das Trevas original. A HQ de 1986 é uma das obras mais célebres da história dos quadrinhos e conta a volta de Batman depois da aposentadoria. A sequência, também escrita e desenhada por Miller, foi publicada em três partes entre 2001 e 2002.

O retorno de Gamorra: Muita coisa está prevista para acontecer na vindoura revista semanal Batman and Robin Eternal, e uma delas é a volta da ilha de Gamorra. Este local pertencia ao universo Wildstorm, extinto após o advento dos Novos 52. A ilha foi criado por Brandon Choi e Jim Lee na revista Deathblow Vol.1 #1 de 1993, mas os fãs de quadrinhos vão se lembrar da utilização nela nas mãos de Warren Ellis e Bryan Hitch na revista The Authority Vol.1.
