Depois de confirmar que John Romita Jr. vai desenhar um dos prelúdios do terceiro volume de O Cavaleiro das Trevas, agora a DC Comics anuncia o nome do especial - que contará mais detalhes sobre a morte de Jason Todd nas mãos do Coringa.

O especial, escrito por Frank Miller, se chama Dark Knight Returns: The Last Crusade, e sai nos EUA em 17 de fevereiro. Ao Newsarama, Romita falou sobre a HQ - que o reunirá com Miller e o artefinalista Klaus Janson, trio que ficou famoso por Demolidor - O Homem sem Medo - e mostrou a capa:

"Não posso contar muito, mas posso dizer que essa HQ é um prelúdio a O Cavaleiro das Trevas [a minissérie de 1986] e tem muito a ver com Jason Todd e o que acontece a ele nas mãos do Coringa. Tudo isso foi apenas citado em O Cavaleiro das Trevas. Sabemos que Jason Todd morreu, mas agora vamos contar a história de como isso aconteceu", diz o desenhista.

Roteirista da minissérie principal Dark Knight III ao lado de Miller, Brian Azzarello também colabora no texto desse especial, que terá 64 páginas.
